Dances of Universal Peace

The Dances of Universal Peace are a spiritual practice using mantras from wisdom traditions from around the globe.
Sacred phrases, simple melodies, simple movements,
and live music offer an experience of unity and peace.
Participants form a circle with the Dance leader. Musicians are often in the center. Everyone is welcome. No experience is necessary; just an open heart, willing Spirit & respect for the sacred space we create.
No special attire is required. Dancers do not need to bring a partner.
From the beginning of time, sacred movement, song and story have brought people together—at times of seasonal ceremony and celebration, as part of everyday life and life passages, in daily renewal and meditation. The Dances of Universal Peace (DUP)
are part of this timeless tradition of Sacred Dance.
Dances of Universal Peace at Awakening to the Heart
are offered by Certified DUP Leaders who share their knowledge of the dance and teach the sacred phrase, melody, movements and some context about that particular dance. The teaching is always brought from a compassionate heart in a comfortable, quiet, and sacred setting.
