About Us
In 2018, after returning home from a deeply moving experience in Sedona, Norman and Cynthia Scrimshaw sat down to embrace the serenity and stunning beauty of the mountains and forest that surrounded them. They said to each other “this place is so special that we need to share it with others.” Then in unison, said “Let’s build a yurt…” Thus began the expansion of their home sanctuary and the birthing of Awakening to the Heart.
Our Vision is to provide a sacred space that supports awakening our hearts to the Divine within.
