- Come Sing, Dance and Experience the Joy of Kirtan -

All are Welcome!

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Kirtan is the Ecstatic, Meditative Call & Response Devotional Singing of the Divine Names from  Hindu Tradition.

It’s a wonderful way to quiet the mind and open the heart, to remember the sacred within and around us, and to connect with community.  All are welcome to this easily accessible spiritual practice of singing names and mantras with traditional and contemporary melodies. Participants are invited to sit comfortably, sing as though no one is listening, clap their hands, and dance or move if they wish.

Kirtan is a simple yet powerful and direct way to connect with self, spirit, source, and community.

Together Gershone and Gina weave a tapestry of sound, love, and wisdom. Come as you are - sit and receive, or chant and move with us!

What is Mantra Music & Heart Song Experience?

“Mantra is ancient vibrational technology to shift into a greater resonance with Reality, to clear the mind and open the heart. Recited, chanted, or sung, it’s a yoga practice much, much older than practicing asanas, and found in spiritual traditions worldwide. Our offering honors and includes elements of traditional kirtan, infused with modern musical inspiration of beat and melody, with prayerful English and Hebrew lyrics woven into the songs in an embrace of all spiritual traditions. Add the collective energy of a group gathering, and you have an experience that takes you beyond yourself into communion, realness, and elevation, as well as contributes positive, loving vibration to the world all around.”

Gershone and Gina are a dynamic duo that bring a unique sound to their high energy mantra music, sharing the power of mantra as medicine with ecstatic devotion. Fusing elements of traditional kirtan with improv trance, rockin’ grooves, with sweet harmonies and deep spaces that move energy and uplift the heart in the collective experience of Bhakti Yoga.

Evening Kirtan & Satsang

with Adam Bauer & Friends

(Tentative date: to be confirmed soon!)

       Saturday, November 2, 5:30-7:30pm

 $20-$40 Requested donation

Kirtan and Satsang with sacred chant artist Adam Bauer is a deep immersion in bhakti—the yoga of devotion, a blissful union of hearts and voices carried on a current of music and love. With his warm baritone voice and sonorous harmonium accompaniment, Adam leads his chanting sessions with a gentle, grounded energy, guiding participants to profound levels of conscious awareness.

Kirtan is the joyous call-and-response practice of making music and chanting mantra together, letting sound and community be our medicine. One of the foundational practices on the path of Bhakti, chanting is a grounded, inspiring and effective awareness practice. When we chant together, we naturally feel better: more connected with each other, more at peace with ourselves and the world.

Satsang is when we gather together as truth seekers in community, cultivating a remembrance of spirit and devotion as we all navigate our paths through this crazy, beautiful world. Sometimes satsang involves singing, story telling or readings from inspiring devotional texts, sometimes just diving deep into silence or conversations that explore and enliven our connection with Life and all its multidimensional radiance.

This is a special event you will want to put in your calendar!

Adam Bauer travels the globe sharing the heart-expanding beauty of kirtan, healing touch, the I Ching, and transformational conversation. Adam spent years playing bass with kirtan pioneer Krishna Das, and later with Bhakti Yoga legend Shyamdas, both of whom nourished his love of sacred sound and the yoga of devotion. He has released three critically-acclaimed records: Shyam Lila debuted on  Mantralogy Records in 2014, Wonderville was released in 2017, and Return to the Sacred in 2020. Adam sings & offers workshops, programs & coaching sessions worldwide, enchanting and inspiring listeners with his deep, soulful voice and presence wherever he goes.
