 Inspired from the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, the Dali Lama, other spiritual teachers and poets and Bhakti Yoga, combined with many years of holistic nursing practice and counseling, offering healing presence and compassion to herself and others.

What is Compassion Practice?

Compassion Practice meets for 90 minutes in Circle, beginning with  Sound Bath of the Singing Bowl and Silent Meditation. 

In these gatherings we will support each other with open hearts and intention—for connecting with heart wisdom, inviting grace into our daily living, cultivating mindfulness, compassion and acceptance. 

Meditation and mindfulness are building blocks for compassion practice, as well as Metta (prayer of loving kindness). Each session will include sacred sounds with crystal bowl sound baths or mantra chants.We will also spend time in the sweetness of silence and with guided meditations for connecting with heart wisdom and for self-healing. We'll share inspirational poems and literature and contemplative walks in Metta Labyrinth. Cynthia will offer insight on various contemplative and compassion-focused practices she has found helpful on her own path. Others are invited to share as well. Our combined heart wisdom will guide how each gathering unfolds. It is anticipated there will be some thought-provoking, heart-felt and playful moments. All accompanied by a cup of tea.
