Until it is completely safe, large gatherings will be held outside for summer/fall events.
We will have canopy tents set up next to the Main House at Sandwich Mountain Sanctuary.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Cynthia Scrimshaw, Audrey Drake & Shana Aisenberg
will be co-leading Kirtan. - THERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR OTHERS TO SHARE A CHANT during Community Kirtan.
If you are interested, please contact Cynthia so that we can allow time. - YOU WILL BE GUIDED IN A CALL AND RESPONSE SINGING OF MANTRAS & DEVOTIONAL MUSIC. Each chant will be followed by a short period of meditative silence.
- KIRTAN SONGS ARE SIMPLE AND REPETITIVE. You do not need to be a “singer” to chant.
Just bring your voice & open heart. During kirtan, all voices & hearts meld into one.
Come early, Walk Metta Labyrinth,
Bring Food for a Picnic after Kirtan,
Take time to enjoy the Mountain View
and Gardens at the Sanctuary!
WHAT TO BRING:
- PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SEATING: ex. chair, floor pillow, yoga mat/blanket. (There will be large floor mats under the canopy so you will not have to sit on the grass.)
- BRING A WATER BOTTLE, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat and/or whatever you need for comfort. (Note: we will be burning natural insect repellent incense sticks around the canopy/kirtan area).
